About RIMSA: our story
We do not simply crown Queens. We inspire young girls and women to discover their worth, embrace their potential, lead with grace, and make a difference in the world.
Royal International Miss
The Royal International Miss Scholarship Pageant was founded in the United States in 2011 by Sharon Nordquist, as an experience that reaches well beyond competition. In 2024 more than 230 delegates from the USA and other countries took its stage.
It was created to empower young women: to build a positive self-image, develop their talents and grow as public speakers, while making lifelong friends and finding a passion for serving others.
Royal International Miss SA
RIMSA brings that system home. Run by Royal South African Miss (Pty) Ltd, it crowns South Africa's Queens in six age divisions and sends its winners to represent the country on the international stage in Orlando, Florida.
“Empowerment begins with believing in yourself and embracing your unique journey.”
We invite aspiring Queens from all walks of life to step onto the stage, not only as delegates but as a beacon of hope and change in their communities.
